There are many good concerts, but a concerts that „really blows you away“...
Exactly this happened to me and my jazz'n'arts label partner Thomas Siffling
when we attended the concert of Kristjan Randalu who was rewarded
the „Jazz award of Baden-Württemberg 2007“, the highest endowed jazz price
in Germany. On the stage only a piano and percussion – but what followed
was such a perfect blend of creativity, intensity, beauty, musicality, energy,
excellence, wonderful arrangements and an almost unbelievable interaction
which to us seems really world class – and we are not the only fans of
Randalu: Peter Erskine, Herbie Hancock and Till Brönner are fans as well!
